The 2024 LGT World Men’s Curling Championship will be located in the beautiful city of Schaffhausen, Switzerland, at the KSS Sports Complex. On March 30- April 7, the best teams and curlers from around the world will gather in this culturally rich city ach secured. Our coordinating council will work with the World Curling Federation and the local organizing committee. Thirteen countries that have won the most competitions will compete in the Cup.

Format of the Championship

The LGT World Men’s Curling Championship 2024 will take place from March 30 to April 7, 2024, in Schaffhausen, Switzerland. The championship will feature 13 qualified teams from the Le Gruyère AOP European Curling Championships 2023 and the Pan Continental Curling Championships 2023. The format of the championship is as follows:

  • The 13 teams will play a round-robin preliminary round over 20 sessions from March 30 to April 5. This will determine the top 6 teams that advance to the playoffs.
  • The top 2 teams from the round-robin will get a bye to the semifinals.
  • The other four playoff teams will compete in qualification games, with the third-place team playing the sixth-place team and the fourth-place team playing the fifth-place team.
  • The winners of the qualification games will advance to the semifinals to play the top 2 teams.
  • The semifinal winners will play for the gold medal, while the losers will play for the bronze medal.
