The Pittsburgh Maulers have done well so far by keeping a position of being 2nd in the North, With a record of 2-3. They won the match against the Michigan Panthers by scoring 23 points. The Panthers didn’t really stand a chance to score more than 7 points. The overall game was conquered by Maulers due to a defensive struggle.

The first hit was done by Panthers’ Ish Hyman’s 73-yard punt return.

After five plays, Josh Love passed Cole Hitkuni to score a 5-yard touchdown reception. Putting Panthers high at 7-0.

The Maulers struck back by making an 80-yard drive, Troy Willaims made a spectacular throw of 31-yard to Bailey Gaither.

Mason Stokke made a rough touchdown and evened the score of 7-7.

At the last moment, Williams gave a cherry on top by scoring a 13-yard rushing touchdown. Putting Maulers up to 23-7 in the final minutes.

The Maulers showed a phenomenal performance last week. This week they are looking forward to hitting on the Memphis Showboats. Using the lead players to break through the defense to make a touchdown can be a great strategy. Making big plays to keep the ball away from the Showboats. Taking advantage of any mistake the Showboats both offense and defense makes.

Memphis Showboats (2-3 · 4TH IN SOUTH)

The Memphis Showboats have shown off their skills in the last 2 weeks building a two-game winning streak. Last week they brutally broke the 4-time winning streak of the New Orleans Breakers, gaining the streak-breaker title for this season. The Showboats defeated Breakers by 17 points. Whereas the Breakers were only able to score 10 points.

The Showboats’ defense gained momentum thanks to Jeremiah Valoaga’s crucial sack on third down.

In the opening minute of the second quarter, Alex Kessman successfully kicked a 40-yard field goal. This came after the Showboats’ 14-play drive had come to a halt.

Greg Reaves sacked Mcleod Bethel-Thompson and stripped the ball from his hand, giving Showboats a good position in the field.

Nevelle Clarke ended the Showboats’ drive by getting the big interception from standing in front of Kelly’s pass.

New Orleans gained possession once again when a turnover occurred after Cole Kelley’s 24-yard pass to Vinny Papale resulted in a fumble.

A 43-yard field goal was scored by Alex Kessman giving the Showboats a 6-0 lead.

It was a great day for the kickers in the USFL. after Luis Aguilar’s eight field goals in 1st game, Kessmam scored his 3rd field 50-yard goal. Setting the score up again to 9-7.

In the late stages of the fourth quarter, the Showboats placed the Breakers’ undefeated season in vain when John Mitchell found an opening in the end zone and made a touchdown catch from Kelley.

The Showboats took a 15-10 lead after the touchdown. To secure a seven-point advantage, the Showboats took a 2-point conversion and successfully executed it. Extending their lead to 17-10 with 2 minutes and 16 seconds remaining.

The Showboats really showed how to break the Breaker’s streak! That victory really charged up the Showboats. They are looking forward to building a three-game winning streak. As they showed great offense last week. I assume, this time the strategy will be the same. Either this will work or else their two-game winning streak will be broken down.
